SUCI(C) decries gala observance of PM Modi completing 25 years in continuous executive office
Comrade Provash Ghosh, General Secretary, SUCI(C), issued the following statement om 11-09-26: The decision of the ruling BJP to observe a month-long nationwide outreach programme, the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan, timed to mark PM Modi completing 25 years in continuous executive office and respectfully recall his role in transforming India from ‘fragile five’ to a fast-growing economy as well as raising India’s global stature and respect, is nothing but a vain attempt to somehow lift his continuously sagging image. In fact, because of his faithful service to a few monopolist tycoons, the country has been engulfed in severe crises in all aspects of life the common people are reeling under. No amount of slogans of national jingoism and eulogizing arch communal Hindutva can wash away this objective reality. We decry such a motivated attempt to celebrate PM Modi’s “contributions” with so much fanfare by spending public money.
