Sixty years ago, when the country was passing in darkness, people were dying in communal riots, Comrade Shibdas Ghosh appealed the youths to unite against the exploitative system and communal divisive policies. Departed veteran leader Comrade Mobinul Haider Chowdhury and some others responded to his call and formed the AIDYO. Gradually the organization has spread throughout the country. Now, AIDYO has spread its organization in 20 states. The 60 years of AIDYO was observed in a befitting manner throughout the year and the concluding ceremony was held in Kolkata on 27 June 2026. On this occasion, an All India March from College Square to Raja Subodh Mullick Square was organized, where the delegates from 20 states of our country took part. The All India Rally was held at Raja Subodh Mullick Square. There Comrades Arun Singh, C.C. Member, SUCI(C), Subrata Gouri, West Bengal State Secretariat member, Amarjeet Kumar, General Secretary, AIDYO, and G Shashi Kumar Vice-President, AIDYO addressed the rally. Comrade Niranjan Naskar, President, AIDYO, presided over. The speakers appealed the youth to build up powerful youth movement against unemployment, paper leak, hawker-eviction, cultural degradation, corruption, crime against women, liquor and drug-addiction, deletion of valid voters from the electoral list through the SIR, and communal divisive policies of the Sangh Parivar.
