Round table conference in Patiala against anti-people NEP 2020
A round-table meeting by the All India Save Education Committee (AISEC) was held on 8 April at the World Punjabi Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala, on “People’s Education Policy 2026 - An Alternative to NEP 2020.” Prof. Tarun Kanti Naskar, General Secretary, AISEC, initiated the discussion, while Aminderpal Singh, Secretary AISEC, Punjab, conducted the meeting. Prof. Naskar said that AISEC has been protesting the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) from the very beginning. After the distribution of lakhs of copies, discussions were held across the country, and suggestions were received from various quarters. On that basis, the final document has been prepared, and AISEC is strengthening a movement based on the People’s Education Policy 2026. Amongst others, eminent economist Prof. Ranjit Singh Ghuman, eminent writer Dr. Darshan Singh Ast, educationist Harjit Singh Bajwa, noted actor Iqbal Gujjan, retired lecturer Ram Kumar, Hardeep Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Singh Sabha’s Harjot, Kendri Singh Sabha’s Dr. Khushaal Singh, Prof. Sham Singh, DTF leaders Talwinder, Harinder, and Ravinder, social activist Ram Singh, Ved Prakash Tapa, Amardeep, Thana Singh, Paras Deep, Jaswinder, and Advocate Shibasis participated in the programme.
