Scrapping of all four labour codes and re-introduction of 29 labour laws
Shri Provash Ghosh, General Secretary, Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) has issued the following statement today: "We strongly denounce the BJP led central government's arbitrary notification to implement four draconian anti-worker, anti-people and pro-monopoly four labour codes from immediate effect by repealing hard earned 29 labour laws. The introduction of labour codes, close on the heels of Bihar assembly election result, is a fascist autocratic drive to demolish even the last vestiges of trade union and democratic rights of the working people at large at the behest of the monopolies. We demand forthwith scrapping of all four labour codes and re-introduction of 29 labour laws. While unequivocally condemning the introduction of the labour codes, we call upon all sections of the people, particularly the working class to build up protracted united movements to resist this grave onslaught of the central government."
