SUCI (C) on ceasefire between India and Pakistan
Comrade Provash Ghosh, General Secretary, SUCI (Communist), issued the followimg statement on 10-05-25: The news of ceasefire between India and Pakistan has brought relief to the common people of both the countries. But pertinent question that arises is, instead of settling between themselves, why have they allowed US imperialist warmongers, who are backing Zionist Israel, both militarily and economically, to destroy Palestine killing thousands and thousands of people, to pose as a peacemaker in Indo-Pak conflict. The War has caused loss not only of properties but also precious lives of the innocent people, including children. But those who perpetrated the heinous crime against the innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, still remain untraced and unpunished. We all know that previous armed strikes could not stop the terrorist activities. Is there any guarantee that terrorist activities will be permanently stopped with the latest military operation? The ruling vested interest of both the countries wants dispute and war tension to sustain, but the common people, who become the worst sufferers in the wars, do not. We call upon the common people of both the countries to develop movements against terrorism and war machinations.
