SUCI(C) condemns cowardly terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam

Strongly condemning the shooting down of tourists in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday the 22 April 2025 Shri Provash Ghosh, General Secretary, SUCI(C), has issued the following statement 23.04.25: “Along with the entire people of the country, we are also awfully shocked at the murder of 28 tourists and injuring over a dozen by the Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow group of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), near Pahalgam in Kashmir, in the name of retaliation of alleged “demographic change” in Jammu and Kashmir. We severely condemn this barbaric attack. It also proves the failure of protection of the civilian population in Jammu and Kashmir by the Central government in spite of huge military mobilization and claimed security measures. We urge upon the Government to pay adequate compensation to the families of all the bereaved families and the injured and also look after proper rehabilitation of the affected families. Alongside, we demand stringent punishment of all the perpetrators of this heinous crime. We also call upon all sections people of Jammu and Kashmir and of the country to raise their strong voice of protest against this ghastly killing.”
